In January, President Obama announced the Summer Jobs Plus Initiative and called on businesses, nonprofits and government leaders to come together to provide 250,000 employment opportunities for low-income and disconnected youth this summer. Attendees will hear from a White House official and Corporate Voices’ partners who are engaged in this effort and learn how their engagement is benefiting their own companies and our nation’s young people.

Ms. Huffington’s leadership in bridging politics and media will provide attendees with a unique view of the important issues that will shape election year debates and politics in Washington, D.C. and throughout the nation.

Changing Demographics of Working Families

Corporate Voices’ member, WFD Consulting’s, newest research study examines how workplace changes, population trends, cultural factors, economic conditions and technology affect U.S. working families and how families are adapting and responding. This session will provide a preview of the early findings and provide a case example of how these issues and trends are manifesting in KPMG LLP’s workforce. Attendees will engage in small group discussions of the implications for their businesses, opportunities for new directions for employers in the areas of diversity, work-life and corporate social responsibility.
