Staff Bios

Donna Klein, Executive Chair

Donna Klein is the founder of Corporate Voices for Working Families. Prior to founding Corporate Voices, Donna was Vice President of Workplace Effectiveness at Marriott International, Inc., Washington, D.C., for 20 years. While at Marriott, she guided the strategic formation, implementation and management of corporate-wide diversity and work-life initiatives, including initiating Marriott’s award-winning Women’s Leadership Initiative.

Donna has also served as Chair of The Conference Board’s Work/Life Leadership Council and as a member of the Conference Board’s Diversity Council. She is also a member of the Board for Boston College’s Center for Corporate Citizenship; the Advisory Board of Bright Horizons Family Solutions; the Afterschool Alliance, Washington, D.C.; and the CICK Advisory Board. She is a Board of Trustee member of America’s Promise.

Melissa Hough, Vice President, Workforce Readiness, Business & Community Engagement

Melissa Hough is Vice President, Workforce Readiness, Business & Community Engagement for Corporate Voices, Melissa will be working on a variety of workforce readiness programs, including the Ready by 21 National Partnership, which includes the United Way of America, Corporate Voices for Working Families, American Association of School Administrators, National Conference of State Legislatures, the Search Institute and America’s Promise Alliance.  

Before joining Corporate Voices, Melissa was Director of the Ready by 21 National Partnership and Development at the Forum for Youth Investment. Melissa also managed the Youth Smoking Prevention Programs at Philip Morris USA which included the positive youth development grants portfolio, youth access prevention efforts, and various stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Rob Jewell, Vice President of Communications

Rob Jewell is Vice President of Communications with Corporate Voices for Working Families. He manages the organization’s outreach activities involving the news media, member organizations and other key stakeholders and audiences. Rob brings to this position more than 35 years of experience in public relations, journalism and education.

During a 29-year career with The BFGoodrich Company in Akron, Ohio, Rob held a number of senior-level management positions in public relations and human resources. Prior to his current role, Rob was a full-time faculty member in Kent State University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Elyse Rosenblum, Vice President, Workforce Readiness, Research & Policy

Elyse Rosenblum is Senior Consultant, Workforce Readiness for Corporate Voices for Working Families. In that role, she oversees Corporate Voices’ early learning, afterschool and youth transitions pillars of work.

Elyse oversees the research and development of public policy positions, as well as working with policymakers and nonprofit leaders to educate them about the business perspective on issues important to working families. In addition, she manages the partnership between Corporate Voices and The Conference Board, The Partnership for 21st Century Skills and the Society for Human Resources Management, which is focused on improving workforce readiness for young people.

Tiffany Westover-Kernan, Vice President of Programs

Tiffany Westover-Kernan is Vice President of Programs with Corporate Voices for Working Families. Her responsibilities include developing and managing programs involving working family issues and educating congressional, federal and state officials about the business perspective on these issues.

Tiffany has more than 15 years experience developing communications and government relations strategies for communities, nonprofit organizations and private sector companies.

John Wilcox, Vice President of Operations

John Wilcox is Vice President of Operations with Corporate Voices for Working Families. John manages Corporate Voices’ family economic security work, focusing on lower-wage working families.

He is also responsible for the internal operations of Corporate Voices, including project management, public policy and analysis, financial oversight and reporting, staff development and fundraising.
